Track&Trace of wood-based material rolls with RFID transponders!

The Together with the companies Wieser Automation and Fb Industry Automation, we were able to implement a demanding Track&Trace project at an internationally active wood processing company.

In this technically very ambitious project, RFID technology is used to track several rolls of material on a specially developed transport rack. The clear identification as well as the reliable positioning of the rolls works without problems even in confined spaces in fully automated warehouses and production!

The identification of the rolls is made by specially selected RFID transponders, which were tested for the prevalent environment and finally positioned and installed on site. The specially developed RFID antennas were installed in RFID gates and make the unique and automatic position recognition possible. The antennas were coupled to the PLC and thus integrated into the entire plant.
